The students of architecture from the University of Sheffield, who are currently producing the design competition brief for the area of Dean Road and St. Mary's Hospital, will be holding a couple of consultation events this weekend to which you are all invited:
Saturday 17 October 2009
Two temporary community forums are being set up in Scarborough this Saturday. We hope you can stop by for cakes and a chat about what you feel would make Scarborough a better place to live. It will be a chance to get your ideas and opinions on the future of the Dean Road site heard, by a group of architecture students working to develop a new agenda for the site.
You can find us at Sandside or the old car park on lower Dean Road (Wrea Lane) from 12pm on Saturday.
Sunday 18 October 2009
Reconnect with Scarborough’s green spaces this Sunday, join the walk from town out to Peasholm Park.
We’ll meet at 12 noon on the green outside the town hall to start our Sunday afternoon scenic stroll.
-----
If you happen to be around Scarborough on either of these two days, please find time to support their endeavours, as our contribution is vital in ensuring that the competition proposal reflects the true thoughts and ideas of everyone interested in the future of the town.
