Please note that these project proposals are a wish list drawn up by the USG and are in no way officially endorsed or as yet recognised by the Scarborough Renaissance Executive, Scarborough Borough Council or Yorkshire Forward.
Other potential projects:
19. Money for town centre traffic flow / management study with a view to removing excess traffic and increasing pedestrian priority.
20. Acquisition and architectural study of potential development land in St Thomas Street to create retail / office / residential redevelopment.
21. Architectural study, continuing the architectural feasibility / scheme for the vacant space next to Londesborough Lodge.
22. Further design work to development the Derek Latham study of improvements around the Spa to create residential / hotel / leisure etc. (if possible in conjunction with DEFRA coastal defence monies).

23. Procure support of CABE, Prince’s Trust, English Partnerships or similar body to advise on the design coding and master planning for the 1,200 house Middle Deepdale development.
24. Public consultation and other development work associated with the planned expansion of Scarborough's housing provision.
25. Public realm improvements to the area surrounding North Street to link with any potential development of the site.
26. Money for tree planting along the A64 entrance to Scarborough including Seamer Road as envisaged by the 'Green Gateway' in 'Kissing Sleeping Beauty'.
27. Provision of money for a 'revolving fund' where we buy semi-derelict or poor buildings, do them up and sell them on at no cost or a profit.
28. Restoration of South Cliff and Valley Gardens.
