USG Meeting - 19h00 Thursday 09 October 2008

The next meeting of the Urban Space Group will be held in the Cavalier Suite of the Royal Hotel on Thursday 09 October 2008 and will start at 19h00.

A group of students from Sheffield University are currently undertaking a six week project on the path of the old Scarborough to Whitby railway line. Their main objective will be to work in conjunction with local stakeholders to produce a phased master plan for a series of linked development projects. This is particularly relevant to the work of the Friends of the Old Railway Line, who are currently assembling bids to support a number of both small and large scale works along the track. In order to assist both parties and to facilitate wider consultation, this Thursday's meeting will be given over entirely to the students and the friends of the line.

Although essentially a one item agenda, we will be hoping to include at the end a short update on Fantasy Forest, and cover any plans, projects or other news as time permits.

It promises to be an interesting evening and hope many of you will be able to attend.
