Please be reminded that there will be no meeting tonight of the Urban Space Group - Thursday 12 August 2010. This is in accordance with our usual practice of taking a break during August.
However, there will be a special meeting later in the month to discuss our response to the current consultation regarding the future of the site of the Futurist theatre.
The time and date for this meeting is 19h15 on Thursday 26 August 2010 at the Renaissance Office.
If you would like to attend but for any reason can not make this date, please inform us as soon as you can and we will investigate the possibility of making alternative arrangements.
Please note that as agreed at previous meetings, the Urban Space Group will not be debating whether the current theatre should be retained, but will be making an early representation as to the principles underlying the redevelopment of the site and its surrounding area. A draft document for discussion will be circulated in advance of the meeting this weekend.
The Town Hall will be holding a separate consultation with respect to the drafting of the development and design briefs later in October this year.
